Description

A refreshing and vibrant summer drink combining the sweetness of watermelon and the tanginess of lemon, perfect for hot days.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh watermelon (seedless, cubed)
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup honey or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes (as needed)
  • Mint leaves (for garnish)
  • Lemon or lime slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Blend the watermelon cubes in a blender until smooth. Optionally strain for a smoother texture.
  2. In a pitcher, combine the watermelon juice and freshly squeezed lemon juice.
  3. Add honey or simple syrup and stir until dissolved.
  4. Pour in the cold water, stir to combine, and taste to adjust sweetness if necessary.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves and lemon or lime slices.

Notes

Store leftover lemonade in a sealed container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days. Freeze in ice cube trays for longer storage.
