- 4 to 5 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 teaspoons Lawry’s seasoning salt, plus 1 tablespoon divided
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder, divided
- 2 tablespoons paprika, divided
- Cooking oil, for searing
- 2 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Season the Chicken: Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of Lawry’s seasoning salt, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, and 1 tablespoon of paprika on both sides of the chicken thighs, rubbing in well.
- Sear the Chicken: Heat cooking oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place chicken thighs skin-side down and sear for 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown. Flip and sear the other side for another 5 minutes.
- Remove the Chicken: Lift the chicken out of the skillet and set aside on a plate to rest.
- Make the Gravy: In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon of Lawry’s seasoning salt, remaining garlic powder, and paprika, then pour in chicken broth. Stir and let simmer.
- Return the Chicken: Place the seared chicken thighs back in the skillet, cover, and simmer on low for 20 to 30 minutes until cooked through.
- Serve: Remove from heat and serve the chicken with gravy spooned over the top.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding chopped onions, bell peppers, or mushrooms to the gravy.
