- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream (cold)
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- Optional: 1 cup strawberries, halved
Instructions
- Bake the red velvet cake according to package instructions or your homemade recipe, about 25-30 minutes.
- Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
- In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream to stiff peaks.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- Layer the trifle in a dish: start with red velvet cake cubes, then cheesecake filling, and fresh berries. Repeat layers.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Serve cold and enjoy!
