Description

A delightful dessert combining rich red velvet cake, creamy cheesecake, and fresh berries, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box red velvet cake mix (or homemade red velvet cake)
  • Ingredients listed on the box (usually eggs, oil, water)
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream (cold)
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries
  • Optional: 1 cup strawberries, halved

Instructions

  1. Bake the red velvet cake according to package instructions or your homemade recipe, about 25-30 minutes.
  2. Let the cake cool completely on a wire rack.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the cold heavy cream to stiff peaks.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Layer the trifle in a dish: start with red velvet cake cubes, then cheesecake filling, and fresh berries. Repeat layers.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  8. Serve cold and enjoy!

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for easier mixing. Make sure not to overmix the whipped cream.
