Description

A wholesome meal featuring tender, flaky salmon paired with hearty herb potatoes, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 salmon fillet (150g)
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until hot, but not smoking.
  2. Season the salmon fillet with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. Place the salmon in the skillet, skin-side down, and cook for 4-5 minutes without moving.
  4. Flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes until it flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Meanwhile, boil the potatoes in a pot of water until tender, about 10-12 minutes.
  6. Drain the potatoes, return to the pot, and mix in butter or olive oil, lemon juice, and salt.
  7. Serve the salmon alongside the warm herb potatoes.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using fresh herbs or a splash of lemon juice on the potatoes. Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 2-3 days in the fridge.
