Description

A delightful blend of salty pretzels and sweet caramel and chocolate, these no-bake bars are easy to make and perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks), melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • Sea salt, for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Pan: Line an 8×8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper, spraying with cooking spray.
  2. Mix the Base: In a large bowl, combine pretzel sticks and graham cracker crumbs, breaking the pretzels into smaller pieces.
  3. Add Butter and Brown Sugar: Pour melted butter and brown sugar into the bowl and mix until it resembles wet sand.
  4. Press into the Pan: Transfer the mixture into the pan and pack it down tightly.
  5. Make the Caramel Layer: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and half of the caramel sauce, stirring until warm.
  6. Pour Over the Base: Carefully pour the warm caramel mixture over the pretzel base and spread evenly.
  7. Add Chocolate Chips: Sprinkle chocolate chips over the caramel and gently press them in.
  8. Drizzle with Remaining Caramel: Drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce over the chocolate chips.
  9. Finish with Sea Salt: Sprinkle sea salt over the top.
  10. Chill: Place in the refrigerator for about 3 hours or until set.
  11. Cut and Serve: Lift the bars out using the parchment paper, slice, and serve.
