- 2 cups pretzel sticks
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks), melted
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- Sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions
- Prepare Your Pan: Line an 8×8 inch square baking pan with parchment paper, spraying with cooking spray.
- Mix the Base: In a large bowl, combine pretzel sticks and graham cracker crumbs, breaking the pretzels into smaller pieces.
- Add Butter and Brown Sugar: Pour melted butter and brown sugar into the bowl and mix until it resembles wet sand.
- Press into the Pan: Transfer the mixture into the pan and pack it down tightly.
- Make the Caramel Layer: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and half of the caramel sauce, stirring until warm.
- Pour Over the Base: Carefully pour the warm caramel mixture over the pretzel base and spread evenly.
- Add Chocolate Chips: Sprinkle chocolate chips over the caramel and gently press them in.
- Drizzle with Remaining Caramel: Drizzle the rest of the caramel sauce over the chocolate chips.
- Finish with Sea Salt: Sprinkle sea salt over the top.
- Chill: Place in the refrigerator for about 3 hours or until set.
- Cut and Serve: Lift the bars out using the parchment paper, slice, and serve.
