Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds salmon (1 to 2 pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon peanut or canola oil
  • Jerk seasoning, to taste
  • Lemon juice, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the butter and oil over medium heat.
  3. Season both sides of the salmon with jerk seasoning, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Carefully place the salmon in the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the salmon to a baking dish and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until cooked through.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a minute before serving.
