Instructions

  1. Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
  3. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the yeast mixture into the flour bowl and add oil. Stir until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the Dough: Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Let it Rise: Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  6. Preheat Your Oven: Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
  7. Shape the Dough: Punch down the risen dough and roll it out to desired thickness.
  8. Add the Sauce and Cheese: Spread pizza sauce over the dough and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
