Description

Delightful Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars combining classic flavors with the ease of making bars. Perfect for sharing and satisfying!


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt, and set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar, then mix until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and mix until combined.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the dough into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until edges are golden and center is set but still soft.
  9. Cool for 10-15 minutes before cutting into squares.

Notes

Let cool slightly before cutting for a gooey center. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage.
