- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat and mix in the granulated sugar until well blended.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder, then gradually combine with the wet mixture until just mixed.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
- Let the cake cool completely in the pan.
- Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until barely simmering, then pour it over the chopped chocolate and stir until smooth.
- Once the cake is cool, pour the ganache over it, spreading it evenly.
- Let it set at room temperature or refrigerate for a firmer texture. Slice and serve with optional toppings like whipped cream or fresh berries.

For a dairy-free option, substitute coconut oil for butter. For gluten-free needs, use gluten-free flour.
