- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/4 cup onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup pickles, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 refrigerated pie crust
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5 to 7 minutes.
- Season the beef with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Remove from heat and stir in pizza sauce, diced tomatoes, onions, and pickles.
- Roll out the refrigerated pie crust and place it in a deep-dish pie pan.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the bottom of the crust.
- Add the beef and vegetable mixture evenly over the cheese.
- Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
- Cover with another layer of pie crust and seal the edges.
- Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 55 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Use a non-stick pie pan for best results. Taste the mixture as you go to ensure seasoning is to your liking.
