- 1 box brownie mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- Chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Prepare the brownie mix by combining the brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water according to the package instructions.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 20 minutes.
- While the brownie layer is baking, prepare the cheesecake layer by beating together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gently fold in the sour cream until combined.
- Pour the cheesecake mixture over the baked brownie layer and smooth the surface.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 45-50 minutes, until the edges are golden and the center is set.
- Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Optional: Sprinkle chocolate chips on top before serving.
- Slice and serve cold or with ice cream/whipped cream.
Notes
Use softened cream cheese for a smooth mixture. Avoid overmixing to prevent cracks on the surface.
