Ingredients

- 1 pound beef top sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef: Cut the beef into thin strips and place in a bowl.
- Make the Marinade: In the same bowl, add soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch. Mix well and let it rest for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the Vegetables: Heat oil in a skillet, add onion and bell pepper, and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Beef: In the same skillet, add the marinated beef. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes, then add garlic and black pepper, and stir for another 2 minutes.
- Combine Everything: Return the vegetables to the skillet with the beef, add water, and cook for another minute until heated through.
- Serve Hot: Serve over warm rice or noodles and enjoy!
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute soy sauce with tamari.
