- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
- In a medium saucepan, melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter over low heat.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar, then add 2 large eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Sprinkle in 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, and 1/4 teaspoon salt; stir gently until just combined.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix 8 ounces of softened cream cheese with 1/4 cup of powdered sugar until smooth.
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture over the brownie layer and swirl gently with a knife.
- Add the remaining brownie batter on top, spreading it carefully to cover the cheesecake layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before slicing into squares.
Notes
Serve warm with ice cream or dust with powdered sugar for an elegant presentation.
