Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cups cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and 1/4 cup sugar, then mix in melted butter until it resembles wet sand.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch springform pan.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar until smooth.
  5. Mix in vanilla extract, then add eggs one at a time, blending after each addition.
  6. Add sour cream and heavy cream; stir until combined.
  7. Fold in the mashed bananas gently.
  8. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool at room temperature before refrigerating for several hours or overnight.
  11. Serve chilled, drizzled with caramel sauce and topped with chopped nuts.

Use ripe bananas for better flavor. Ensure the mixture remains airy while folding in the bananas.
