- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cups cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and 1/4 cup sugar, then mix in melted butter until it resembles wet sand.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9-inch springform pan.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with 1 cup of sugar until smooth.
- Mix in vanilla extract, then add eggs one at a time, blending after each addition.
- Add sour cream and heavy cream; stir until combined.
- Fold in the mashed bananas gently.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool at room temperature before refrigerating for several hours or overnight.
- Serve chilled, drizzled with caramel sauce and topped with chopped nuts.
Notes
Use ripe bananas for better flavor. Ensure the mixture remains airy while folding in the bananas.
